Seadog Trust Membership Drive – The Future of Football in Scarborough Depends on You

Seadog Trust has for some time been working to ensure the future of football in Scarborough, in the event of Ian Scobbie’s efforts to save Scarborough FC failing.

After the saddening decision at Leeds High Court, Seadog Trust is now executing carefully conceived plans to ensure the continuation of professional football in Scarborough.

We have already:

  • Decided to create a new club, provisionally named Scarborough Athletic.
  • Formulated a five-year business plan with advice from AFC Telford and AFC Wimbledon
  • Formally applied to register a team with the Northern Counties East League.
  • Applied for affiliation to the North Riding County FA
  • Identified a corporate structure for the new club.
  • Agree a ground share with Bridlington Town, until a permanent ground is organised back in Scarborough
  • Identified likely sources of working capital for the new club.

We ask that you help advertise Seadog Trust by displaying this poster in your place of work or in local businesses such as your newsagents, pubs, grocers, chip shops, takeaways, taxi firms, builders merchants, British Legion, charity shops and so on. Simply download and print the poster from our website, along with twenty-five membership forms. Kindly persuade one or more businesses to display the poster, and ask that the membership forms be placed in a visible location inside.

Seadog Trust does not wish to exclude any fans of football from the formation process of a new club and, as such, we urge all fans to become members of the trust and unite for the good of football in Scarborough. All these plans cannot be realised without your help!
