Election Supervision Group extend election deadline to 30th November

After discussions between the Trust Secretary, the Election Supervision Group (ESG) and Supporters Direct, the deadline for return of ballot forms to the ESG has been extended.

Voting is continuing apace and we know that a lot of you have already voted in the election of members to the Board of our clubs and Trust. However, we are aware that some members have not yet received their ballot papers for the current election. We believe that this might be due to the postal strike and we think the incidences of people not getting ballot papers are confined to small geographical pockets.

We don't want to disenfranchise anyone in these elections, so if you have not received your ballot paper, please contact the Secretary and let him know by emailing ben@seadogtrust.com or by phone on 07842 151116. He will discuss the matter with our election scrutineer (Tony Taylor from the Board of the Darlington Trust and Supporters Direct) who will make a final ruling. Anyone who feels this applies to them MUST contact us by 20 November.

Regardless of that issue, we will be extending the deadline for the return of ballot papers on Tony's advice, in order to compensate for the fact that due to the backlog of post, some people have only recently recieved their ballot papers, and we want people to have the chance to get them back to us. That has been extended to 30 NOVEMBER.
